I'm guessing that after all of this time you've resolved your problem one way or the other. If not, I service these machines. Can you provide me with the serial number and symptom.

What size bags fit the PRIMO 3900 HS Level 6?

You could measure the frame of the shredder (add about 7 inches in height for fold over) and convert to gallons. (Most bags are rated in gallons.
Looking on the Primo website, their current model, the 3901 shows it to be 148 liter (approximately 39 gal).
Primo 3901
Their bag number for this machine is part number 1.235.997.403.
(Here's a manual for a 3901, don't know how closely it will match the 3900):
http://www.primo-office.com/fileadmin/Downloads/Betriebsanleitung_Aktenvernichter/Primo/3901/Primo_3901_T1.pdf
You could call them at 800-613-2110 (but I imagine you will pay through the nose).

Staples sells a 38 gal bags designed for the Fellowes Powershred, number 3605801, $60 for 50 bags ($1.20 ea). They measure 23"x23"x21". Measure the frame and see if these fit. (Again, allow 7-8" for overlap at the top).

HSM sells 100 bags for $98 ($0.98 ea), designed to fit the HSM 390.3 Level 6 shredder (think it's similar to the Primo 3900 at 39 gallons).

I don't know the spoke lengths for the primo mix cassette hub or the primo n4 front hub, does anybody know them?

To calculate spoke length you need several data points.

1) hub dimensions (flange, center to flange, axle length)
2) number of spokes
3) rim dimensions
4) cross/ lacing pattern of spokes.

For a good web resource to find spoke length and help with building the wheel try this.

You can also take into your local bike shop and they should be able to calculate for you as long as you have the information for the 4 factors above.

I need to replace the styrofoam form for my primo viaggio seat. I believe the part is mmsp0008

Hi, I figured I would post the outcome since I was searching for resolutions last night. I called Peg Perego. The piece that is cracked on mine (the top of the center section of the headrest) can be replaced with a new headrest piece for $32.99 (including shipping). The new piece does not have stryofoam though. It's just a heavier material (almost pillow-like). The representative that I spoke to, however, said that if the styrofoam was a clean break (meaning not in a whole bunch of pieces) it's still safe to keep it together under the cover and use the car seat as normal. Apparently, that's not what's really protecting the baby anyway. To be honest, I don't even think that I broke the styrofoam while taking the cover off, I think it was broken beforehand probably by just use and the weight of the baby. I will get some styrofoam glue and duct tape and just secure it and put my sparkly clean cover back over top of it. I think it's fine for use. Thanks and good luck to others with this issue out there!

Have a level 6, won't shred

Unplug the shredder. When you remove the cover carefully remove the auto start sensors. There is a little pushdown tab.Clean them with a soft cloth. A kleenex will be ok. Re-insert them, making sure they lock in place. Plug the shredder in an see if that solves your problem.

Shredder won't shred - all paper is cleared - works intermitantly

Run the shredder in "Reverse" mode for 15 seconds.
Oil the cutting head thoroughly as this is a High Security shredder.
Test it at 4-5 sheets.
They always overrate the capacity but if you want to keep it operating, shred 3-5 sheets max.

Running for serveral minutes could be due to dirty optic sensors. Unplug the shredder, remove the top (2 screw underneath front and 2 in back). Remove the sensors (they have a little pushbutton tab) and clean thoroughly with a soft cloth. Re-insert the sensors ensuring they lock in place, reset the top cover and test.
