The power wand grabbed a loose string of carpet, wound it around and seized up. This has happened before so I cleared the string, cleaned the beater bar thoroughly and pressed the tiny reset button by the back wheel. The power wand won't start up now. When I turn on the power at the top of the wand nothing happens. Did I bust the belt or worse?
First find and locate belt if in good shape prolly aint bad and may be motor lock up
Bob, Opened it up (50 gazillion screws) and everything looks as though it should be in working order. Belt secure and moves when I rotate wheel. While it was open I plugged it in and turned it on with the same result:Nothing happens. The thing cost $120. Should I just buy a new one...

Yes I have given that little reset button a good workout. (It didn't run but a moment after grabbing the string but it did shut itself off before I could do it...) Thanks for your suggestions, Bob.
