Hi,
The freezer is low on freon... it is cutting in and out on low pressure. It does not for the first ten minutes because the temperatures are higher when it is warmer... then as the temps come down the pressures drop and the vicious cycle begins....
Double check the type freon that is in there before adding so you do not mix refrigerants...there are a few possibilities...depending on the age of the unit.

This is not a DIY project, make sure to have a licensed pro do this for you!!
