So today we whipped out the wii fit as we hadn't played it in a very long time. Unfortunately the batteries had started to corrode :/ We cleaned the place where you put the batteries, put fresh ones in but still the thing refuses to work it's just completely dead! Please help! :(
SOURCE: Wii Fit Balance Board Won't turn on
i fixed it by re-syncing it with the console. all good now, although it seems a little out of balance, but at least working....
SOURCE: "Step Off Me and Press A" message while not on wii board
When you get this message, lift the board off the ground, press A, and wait until you get to the confirmation screen before placing the board back on the ground. You may have to try a few times to get the timing right. I have no idea why it thinks someone is on the board, but this workaround has solved the problem for us. Good luck.
SOURCE: my wii fit balance board says to step off and press A
You need to load it, stand on the board, step off, and then press A. I have a WiiFit and that happens. It expects you to be standing on it.
SOURCE: wii fit balance board wont connect
Unplug the AC adapter from power cord then wait 10 min and plug it
again.Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console, just
below the disc drive, and press and hold the red SYNC button for 15
seconds. This will clear all synced Wii Remotes from the console. Then
push the red button again, then open the batteries cover on your
Wii Remote and push the red button there. After that push the red button
on console one more time, then open the batteries cover on your Wii Fit
and push red button there. If this not help may your wii fit need
service.
SOURCE: my wii fit board keeps telling me to
Looked around for a solution for a long time for this one.
1) removing the batteries from the Wii Fit balance
board for at least a minute.
2) Turn the Wii OFF by pressing the POWER Button on the
front of the console. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet for a
few seconds. After a few seconds plug the cord back into
the outlet.
2 Turn the power of the Wii console ON. When
you see the Health and Safety screen, open the small flap on the front
of the Wii console to find a red button labeled "SYNC." Press and hold
the SYNC Button down for 15 seconds. This should clear all the old syncs on
the Wii.
3 After holding the SYNC Button on the Wii console down for at least 15 seconds, you can now "re-sync" your Wii Remotes:
a
With the first Wii Remote you wish to sync, remove the battery cover on
the back of the Wii Remote to find a small red button just below the
batteries.
b Press and release the small red button just below
the batteries on the Wii Remote; the blue lights on the front of the
Wii Remote will turn on.
c Quickly press and release the red SYNC button on the inside of the white flap on the front of the Wii console.
d
When the Player LED blinking stops and stays lit, the syncing is
complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1
through 4).
4 Start the game from the Wii Menu, don't forget to sync the Wii Balance Board from the opening screen of the game (you've deleted the syncs earlier).
Another problem may be the surface on which you post the Wii fit, make sure it's flat, try put it on the floor directly or place it on a rug.
And don't forget to "step on" it when it says and not before as the Wii console might be "overloaded".
