Have a loner camera while mine is in repair. Can not download pictures. have usb cord. Camera in repair is Cario also.

My Casio camera is in the shop for repair. They gave me a loner with the USB cord. It is different enough I can not figure out how to download pictures. I have plugged in the usb cord but do not see a place to switch to downloading function (as my camera has). Thanks in advance, ptgilbert

There should be an item in the setup that tells what the USB function will be. Usually the choices are camera or memory disk. You shoud select memory disk. If the connection is ok, the computer (windows xp) will indicate in the bottom right portion ' new hardware found', the computer will try to look for the best driver, if non is found you have to provide the dirver. If XP is successful, it will tell that the hardware is ready for use. You will then have an additional drive .

Try it at the pc level...go to "My Computer" icon and then search for your connected camera as possibly a new pc drive. then double click it and you should see a list of pics on the camera

I need a casio ex-s5 digital camera usb cord

Consider NOT using the USB connection.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).
