I have had it less than a year. This morning the descale light came on for the first time, so I poured white vinegar into the resivior as recommended, but now it will not pump anymore through. I'm guessing the mineral deposits have came loose with the vinegar and clogged it further. But how do I declog it since it has stopped pumping water into the machine?

You need to descale it. Mine usually just stops working like that without the descale light coming on until after I start the descale procedure (go figure). This is from the Keurig website. Don't bother starting until after you get a bottle of white vinegar...in fact, get TWO bottles because you will probably need it again in the future.
I have the same unit. You need to descale it. Get a bottle of white vinegar (not the small bottle, the next size up). Unplug your Keurig. Empty out the water receptacle and flip your unit over in the sink to remove any residual water in your unit (I even shake mine a little to loosen up whatever is stopping it from priming. Fill the water receptacle to the top with white vinegar. Plug in the Keurig and turn it on. Cycle the unit (lift the lever, close it, push the button) and fill a cup with heated vinegar. Pour the cup out and continue until all the vinegar is gone, then fill the receptacle and keep doing this (I do it until the receptacle has emptied itself at least 3 times). If your Keurig will not allow you to cycle through this then the problem is internal with the pump. Call Keurig. If you are in your warranty period they will replace.
It may be time to descale. Most models will give you a message when it's time to have the mineral deposits cleaned.
HERES HOW TO DO THAT...
Empty water resevoir. Disable auto off. Pour approx 48 oz of undiluted white vinegar into resevoir. PLace large mug on drip plate, run brew cycle, dump contents of mug in sink. DO NOT USE A K-CUP.
Repeat this process until the add water light is indicated.
Let brewer stand for at least 4 hours while still on.
Discard any residual vinegar in the resevoir and rinse thorughly.
AFTER approx 4 hours...fill resevoir with water.
RINSE:
PLace a large mug on the drip plate and water brew cycle. Pour the contents of the mug into the sink.
REPEAT this brew process until the add water light is indicated.
YOU MAY NEED TO REPEAT THIS "RINSE" PROCESS if you notice any residual taste
The 'Descale' light that turns on indicates that it is time to de-scale the machine. Scale - or mineral deposits- form from the water you run through your
Keurig coffee machine. If not cleaned regularly, the buildup can clog
the lines in your machine and ruin the heating element. The manufacturer
recommends you descale Keurig coffee makers once every six months for
normal water conditions and once every three months if you live in an
area with hard water. You will need :
Keurig coffee maker
48 oz. white distilled vinegar
Water
Large ceramic cup
Sink
Instructions :
1
Unplug the coffee machine and remove the cup.
2
Turn the coffee machine upside
down over the sink in order to fully drain it of water. Be careful of
the plug and avoid getting it wet.
3
Pour undiluted white vinegar into the reservoir up to the top edge of the viewing window.
4
Place a ceramic cup under the
machine, plug it in and press "Brew" for a large cup. Pour the cups of
vinegar into the sink and repeat the process until the reservoir is
empty.
5
Remove the final cup of vinegar
and empty it. Fill the coffee maker with clean water and allow it to sit
for four hours, remaining on.
"Scale" is deposits of minerals, etc. normally found in water. Boiling a container of water (in a pot, or coffee maker in this case), leaves small amounts or "deposits" of these minerals on and near the actual heat source. If not removed, they can slow brewing time and more importantly, adversely affect the taste of coffee.
Descaling should be done at regular intervals to prevent this from happening. Your machine lets you know when to perform the descaling task. There are a number of products sold in your supermarket that will do this for you - but one of the least expensive; and just as effective - is to use white vinegar. Here's how to do it:
1) Drain your Keurig coffee machine over a sink. 2) Fill the machine with undiluted white vinegar. 3) Run the brew process at least four times, pouring the cups of vinegar back into the coffee maker. 4) Optionally, let your Keurig coffee maker sit for a few hours, then run the brew
cycles again. Pour the vinegar into the sink and drain any remaining
vinegar. 5) Fill your coffee maker with fresh water. Run
multiple brew cycles with fresh water each time to thoroughly rinse the machine before returning to normal
use.
That's it!
I know this will help & good luck. Please rate my reply - thanks!
