Mdp 1760 - car adaptor wont work-universal quit also

The original car adaptor stopped working, I purchased a universal power cord. It worked for awhile then stopped. I purchased another universal power cord and it won't work at all. Our inside power source works fine. Any suggestions? I would like to purchase an original power cord but I haven't had any luck finding the part. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I have a power cord that belonged to mine. My player quit working. You can email me at [email protected] and we can make some arrangements if you are interested.

Missing AC adapter

If you look at your DVD player, it will have information such as 5V, 2.2A. This information will help you choose the correct AC adaptor. Head over to The Source, FutureShop, BestBuy, etc and bring the DVD player in.

As for a universal AC adaptor. These range from $15 - $50. Just make sure the one you get has the correct plug and voltage/amp range and polarity for it. The salesperson should be able to help.

Here is a picture of such an adaptor. This is a picture of the back of an electronic device, showing 5V and the polarity. If your player has no information with the AC port, you will need to look for a label on the device with this information.

I need a AC adaptor and a AV cord.

Take your unit into Radio Shack. They should be able to match one up for you.

Battery wont charge.

Unfortunately, Mintek seems to have gone out of business, so there is no way to purchase replacement parts without finding them online somewhere.

The problem could be caused by one of three things:
  1. The battery is dead and cannot be recharged
  2. One of the battery connections is broken in some way
  3. The cord is bad and will not provide power
If the battery is dead, you're stuck with keeping it plugged in or trying to find a battery online. If one of the battery connections is bad, the only way to test it is with a new battery and you're back to finding one online. If the cord is bad, it wouldn't provide power at all, so it sounds like both of your cords are fine.
