Question about Whirlpool Calypso GVW9959K Top Load Washer
I bought the house with this machine in it, so have no documentation. I have a number of pets with lots of bedding, therefore, lots of hair to accumulate during washing. I'm concerned about a filter clogging somewhere. Is this a valid concern, and if so what do I need to do to rectify it? Thanks.
Most washing machines have a lint trap that is easy to find. I don't know this model, but open the lid and find where the recirculating water falls out from a hose or plastic tray above the wash tub. somewhere below this point, in the path of the falling water, is a lint trap. remove it and clean it

SOURCE: Is there a filter and how/do I need to clean it?
Hi, These do not have filter that can be cleaned or changed. If you notice water draining slow at any time, you will need to open up the pump (not hard to do) and clean out any lint.
I hope this helps you. If I can assist you further, please let me know.

This is one of those machines that won't let you see anything with the lid open, but I have felt around the inside rim & found one spot where stuff had (ALREADY!) gathered, so I yanked that out. But I KNOW there's bound to be more in there, & I just don't know how to get AT it. I guess I'll have to order the manual for the thing. Thanks for your help.
