Question about Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer
Had some intermittent problems with it draining then it seemed to fix itself but the noise was getting louder and louder! - Like a jet plane taking off! Today I put some heavy stuff it and it refuses to drain completely - I tried it on all cycles. I even took some of the blankets out to see if it would help but it didn't. Hope you have an idea - this machine has been a real pain. Thanks
Does the washer make noise while the drum is spinning? Or, is making noise when the drain pump comes on? If the drum is spinning and making a lot of noise the rear bearings are usually bad. They cannot be removed from the drum, however. The entire outer tub shell has to be replaced, because the bearings are molded into the plastic. If it's only making noise when the drain pump comes on during the drain cycle, your drain pump may be obstructed in some way, or the pump itself could be bad. Getting inside the machine to check either component is not easy, because the door has to be removed, along with the front panel, rubber door seal, and top of the machine. Sorry, this may not be an easy fix for you. But, I hope I can lead you in the right direction. Let me know if you need further guidance.

It seems that something is clogged in the drain pump
assembly and you have to clean it to solve this issue. After cleaning if the
issue returns then test the door lock assembly, if bad it should be replaced. Hope
this helps...please post back for further assistance.
