i say somehow you have damaged the amp, it needs repair or tip. useually output transistor or fets are faulty, if you cut the faulty ones out of circuit the other remaining channels may work
The first thing to try is to disconnect the sub and all speakers from the amp's output block. The only things that you need connected to the amp are the 12V power, the ground wire, and the remote wire to turn it on. If the protection light comes on with only these three wires connected - your amp has been damaged internally and will either need to be repaired or replaced.
Most likely you have a speaker short, you need to check the ohms on each speaker disconnected from receiver if they are 8 ohms they should be close to that on the meter no more than a 1 and half ohm varience to what the speaker ohms says on the back. If they are ok you need to disconnect speaker wire from receiver and check for a short in the wire by connecting ohm meter leads to ends of the speaker wire you should get no reading if the wire is good. If this is all good you have a bad output transister in your receiver, but i dout this is the case because these transisters normally short to ground and blow a fuse. Hope you solve your problem good luck
Check power supply transisters possible shorted
and check transister next to ht runs picture may be shorted also check diodes 4off runs ac to dc
changover , this possible causes the fuse to blow , allways be carefull when pluging any
electrical item in
please let me know how you go thanks jeff..........
yes make sure there both connected properly, check the fuses, the protection light usualy comes on when there is too much power and the amp protects itself from blowing
U have a problem in what is called the sos line which is the B+. check the Horazontal output and see if the 145 volt line comes up to the normal 145V. there is a fuse feeding to the horz. out but if the transister is shorted U will get no power. check the fuse it is a resistor and the transister for a short.
check the bu transister in the horizantel stage and see if it has any voltage reaching there. if not. take the transister and check it out. I think it is needed to be replaced. good luck
after the remote is applied
