I conected a new CDX-T69. My car Audi A4 started loading the cd and was playing. For some reason I cound't get any sound. The Stereo then came up with erre message. I know the CD and Stereo work ok becase I took the same moddel CDX-T69 out of it. This had to be replaced because it would load the cartridge( I think a clip has broke?) Anyway, I've opened the top of the changer and I can see the CD Loaded and ready to go, the cartridge in in place (Locked and Loaded so to speak). When I connect it to the car and pres eject the arm at the top moves but nothing else does. CD stays in place catridge doesn't show any signs of moving, but the machine makes the noise that it's trying to do something. Can anyone help? I can't listen to the rubbish on the radio amymore during the day! Let me know Steve
It could be a corrupt bios, which can be deleted with the removal of the bios battery or by the 'JBAT1' terminal to pins 2-3 then back to 1-2. The bios is probably set to halt on all errors and thats why it only goes so far. If there is no action at all; then there is a power failure to the motherboard or the processor has failed. Depending on your notebook age is whether it's economical to repair.

Hi, This sounds like an inshop repair. The technical term for the changer being set to 88.5 but works in 97.5 is "frequency drift" and could be rectified with the use of a calibrating instrument/frequency counter and an alignment tool assuming no component replacement required. Frequency drift can be caused by component failure, humidity, temperature etc.; The part "my car off the changer stays on" could be faulty trigger on inside the changer, faulty remote trigger on in your head/radio/controller unit. Good luck and hope this gives you a few ideas. Kind regards.
I have a CDX-T69 6 CD Changer and everytime I try to play it, it displays reset on my stereo screen. The CD box won't eject either. Anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
