Re: dirt under screen
If you look on the side of your phone you will see a whole on each side toward the front of your LCD. This is where the dirt is getting in. The best way's to cover them are a snap over protective case(there is a billion online for cheap) or a shuttle case. Otherwise email me at [email protected] and I can give you a guide to cleaning out the entire phone. This should be left to a professional but the last case I ran into got charged almost seventy bucks for something my company does for $5. It can be done by beginners but BE CAREFULL,

2 possibilities:
-Wipe/clean key pad NO WATER,dirt dust moisture affecting key function
-Low battery charge so reboot/Hold keys down till screen goes blank. Then removing battery clean contacts on battery itself and phone battery metal tabs carful they are very fragile break easily that happens phone will need to be replaced/refurbished etc.Full charge downside phone can't be used for awhile
Shoels, You could replace the screen and glass lens/cover but I having done this procedure a few times, don't think it's worth it as the Razr is a fragile phone and the case's just snap fit together. There are cell phone repair shops (depending where you are located) that will replace both the screen and glass cover for a fee. I personally would just look for a shady spot to view my display in daylight, as the V3 isn't worth the trouble/expense to repair (in my humble opinion of course). Good luck
after pressing menu wen inside of phonebook, press down 8 times then select, down once, then select and select again and giv it some time to finish the job
you can open the screen cover of your v3. if you have screws drivers thats fits the screws you can open it.
to open it, at the screen of your v3, theirs a 4 little rubbers. remove the rubber (be sure to secure it cause when it drops you have a hardtime finding it) and beneath it are the screws. after talking it off, you can now open the screen. just locate the clips to separate the screen.
no need to open the other side only the screen part...
