I have a number two of a two-set controller package and my controller will not work. It has brand new batteries in (correctly, might I add) and the receiver flashes when plugged into the Playstation 2. However, whenever I press a button, nothing happens. Do I need the number one receiver?
I don't know if this helps, but it's a Pelican Predator 697.
Thanks for your time!
Pelican Products are unlicensed by Sony and would also void any warranty you had on the PS2. (Me not being a Employee, just what they'd tell you) Have you tried turning off the console taking out the Batteries of the controller,Unplugging the controller from the ports and replugging it back in? Also try a Dual Shock 2 Analog controller (If you have yours still) and see if your ports have gone bad. Usually 3rd party controls could potentially damage your PS2's Controller port as they do not supply the correct power or Data for your system.

1, Was there no place to post questions about the PS2? Your pic is suggesting the PS3. This controller is definably not for the PS3.2, I've had one of these controllers for the PS2 though, and think I can help. Try taking all other controllers out, or disabling them, then while holding the connect button, insert the receiver in the controller #1 port on the PS2. It should auto sync to player 1.
There should be a switch on the Pelican wireless controller that enables you to change the channel on the controller and or receiver. Look in its manual, it should say such. If not... Then it's because it is a very poorly-done job done by the company. Replace that controller with a WaveBird (older wireless controller for the gamecube, but a lot better)
