Question about Mitsubishi WD-62725 62" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

1 Answer

What do the flashing lights mean when you hold the "device" and "menu" buttons?

I read the posting about the problem with the lamp, and I'm having the same issue. So I held both the "menu" and "device" buttons at the same time and got a series of 3 and 4 blinking lights. The only problem now is that I have no idea what that series means. Please help if you can, thanks.

We have a Mitsubishi TV model# WD-60735.. we have changed the lamp because it was flashing red but now its flashing yellow and the tv will not turn on..

Mitsubishi TV troubleshooting
Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filter cover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected

My mitsubishi flashes a red light what does that mean

Red light is usually lamp indicator---may be time to replace the lamp--they have a 2000 hour life span except for generic ones which last half that long----when was lamp last replaced? also the set does have a self check:

How do I reset the replace lamp message

Do you have a picture? If so the only way to reset this unit is to get a Zenith programmer remote. With this remote you can get into the service menu and reset the lamp timer and that will reset the unit.
