I have a BN59-00856A Samsung remote control, and I want to program it with my LG 37LH20 ua tv, since I don't have the remote manual I haven't been able to program the remote whit my tv. what are the steps to program it and what are the codes I need or where can I find them ??

View it in "Timeslide" or "Flipcard" option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the top left corner of the display window. It will make search easy. There are more than 1100 posts to different brand TVs now. Pull up older posts there.

i wanted to program lg plasma smart tv remote with samsung blu ray,was so easy! with tv on conect blu ray hdmi to tv and press simplelink button on remote, and automaticly turns blu ray on.... thats all !!!! u can use only remote when watching movies...

consult the owner manual or call Samsung---this set likely has a lockout feature that locks both the remote and the keyboard out.

You might also want to research this by taking the model number and Google key words "remote lockout" etc.

GOOGLE THE MODEL NUMBER OF THE SET (IF ORIGINAL REMOTE) WITH "manual" which would get the owner manual to do this.

Each set is different in this process.

This remote control is for use with Toshiba 22AV500U TV. It is originally coded to use with this TV, yet other TVs also can be programmed with this remote contorl. There si no specific user manual for this remote control itself. All codes and proceedings are with the user manual for the above mentioned model Toshiba Tv. Unless you hook HDMI to HDMI, you won't carry sound across the HDMI cable. If you're using a VGA to HDMI converter, you'll get the picture but no sound.

I have a feeling the headset jack on the TV is an output rather than an input. Most TVs accept HDMI, RCA, or a digital audio input (either coaxial or optical). Unless you have a S/PDIF optical output from your laptop (and you obviously don't have an HDMI output), then your only other choice is likely to get a cable that splits a 1/8" headset type connector into two RCA plugs that you'll plug into an AUDIO IN input on your TV.
