Reassembly help First of all there is NO model number anywhere to be found on my Kenmore 27' Stack Washer Dryer. I was lucky enough to find the part number on the Transmission that allowed me to order a replacement. That number has been replace with 134735700 H Transmission and it does appear to be the same unit in every visual way. The Problem is that I took this apart two weeks ago and have now forgotten the order of reassembly. I very much need a diagram to assist me with the reassembly. All seals and spacer appear to be in very good condition. I just need a diagram

Kenmore is sold by sears so go to http://www.searspartsdirect.com/
Enter your model number to get user manual, parts diagrams parts lists and order parts.
Model numbers are usually covered by the lid or door.
With the sympthoms your describing its sounds to me as if the timer is going to be the problem. IT could be a lid switch problem but since it does drain i can pretty much eliminate the lid switch,or even the motor and narrow it down to the timer.
Reply with the entire stack unit model number as found on a label inside of the DRYER door and i will give ya the part number for the washer timer.
First, see the Sears parts site for your washer: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action
Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.
Without a complete model number, I'm guessing but usually, washers have a lid lock built in that prevents the washer from draining or spinning unless the lid is closed.
If the lid lock is defective, the washer probably won't go into spin mode.
Check yours for the lock, where it attaches and replace it. It's probably not too expensive.
a stack unit is a very risky investment, altho it's understandable if you have limited space. if the hold downs on the washer are rusted out or broken thru you need to have someone weld them for you. That's how we used to do it where I worked but stacks are not usually easily worked on. I'm afraid you will probably have to get an entirely new unit or maybe a used one from a reputable used appl. dealer in your area. Check around, you might get lucky and find one relatively inexpensive
first of all. comming from a Sears Technician.. (don't yell) -- the delivery drivers only know about delivering stuff. they dont know too much,
if the two are the same size they can be stacked.
sometimes have to rig something up
and yes, for that model the top is removed, clips go on the rear and screwed at the front.
in some areas it is sold seperatly as a stacking kit
When you originally ordered the dryer, it should've come with a stacking kit that is compatible with the HE 3T or HE 4T washer. It is basically a foam piece that goes on each side of the washer, and then the dryer is connected to it from the side. If you do not have this piece, it should be available to order if you visit http://www.searspartsdirect.com Just enter the model number from your dryer (inside the door frame) and it should pull up a parts list. Or just try searching for a stacking kit for Kenmore dryer. Hope this helps.
