Need to unplug fridge- Whirlpool Gold Side-by-Side

My fridge has stopped producing ice. One of the troubleshooting steps is to unplug fridge. I need to move my whirlpool gold side-by-side fridge to do so. I need to know is there any waterlines or anything that can snap when I move my fridge away from the wall to unplug?I cant see behind the fridge becasue where it is located in the kitchen and it was already installed when I bought my house brand new.

You will have at least a foot of flexable water hose. Pull it out slowly to make sure its not tangled.

Where can i find a wiring diagram for whirlpool control board w10135090?

Normally unit technical sheet is hidden for technician reference inside the front bottom kick plate or just under it. Please put it back after using it to the right place. Next guy working on your fridge need to refer that.

Whirlpool gold French door refrigerator ...ice maker stopped making ice. I THINK that my daughter left the door ajar (on the side with the ice/water dispenser) during the day. Came home to find water...

Oh yes. Shut it off let it drain and dry. When you start it up tho let the freezer cool for 2 days to be sure, then turn on the ice maker. 48 hrs will allow the unit to dry up any moisture you may have missed and all will be well.

Water buildup in the fridge, dripping in from the freezer

This could be a bad thermostat. If your thermostat never closes it's swith then the defrost element never comes on and you get the problem you are having. Easy fix. Do you know where your timer is and can you retate it?

Whirlpool gold:upper half of refridgerator side not cold

Either the evap fan has a problem, or the defrost system has failed. You should never see frost in the freezer section as the defrost sensor should sense that the coils need to be defrosted before that much frost accumulates.

Unplugging to clean out helped because the frost got a chance to melt away.

If you find the evap motor is running, then the things to check are the defrost sensor, the defrost timer, and the defrost heater.

Whirpool gold

I did some research online, and read that the Start Relay is most commonly the problem. My husband bought the part, (about $50) and reattached it to the side of the compressor....and was cold immediately! apparently a very common problem on these fridges.
