I own a jvc gr-dx100ek camcorder ever since i have had this camera i have never been able to put it to disk because it comes out without sound i used windows xp pro but now i am using vista and thought that resolve the problem but it has not hope you can help

Re: transfering video to pc i get no sound
First, you need to be using firewire. make sure you install the drivers for your camcorder. you will see there is another sound card from the JVC camcorder in your computer. check if your computer is using the sound from the camcorder or the sound card from the computer when it is recording.

JVC GR-FXM40EK is analog camcorder that can not be connected directly with computer because computer needs digital video format to save the file so connect USB 2.0 Video Capture Device in computer and plug camcorder AV wires in that device that will digitize the AV signals of analog camcorder and computer will save it in your selected folder on hard disk.
