I have recently gotten Straight talk's BYOD service on my MOTO KRZR and I have the ability to use the browser, but I cannot send or receive mms. I have used ST's mms guide but it appears to be mainly for smartphones as my device doesn't have an option for a port number or anything.

yes you do not have ot give straight talk any info about yourself you do not have to buy anything other then their activation kit its 60 dollars and comes with a 45 $ card. you just need to tell them you would like to bring your moto g to straight talk you have b ought the activation kit and would like to set up a new number and when they ask for your address email and other info just say i would like to not give out any personal info. I work retail and deal with this all the time.

Go to Settings > Mobile Networks > APN and then reset the settings to defaults using three dot button in upper right. This should deregister to network and hopefully push setting to your phone. If not. Call StraightTalk if it doesn't work.

I also searched Moto G APN for MMS and got multiple results though I want sure if you are using Sprint/Verizon or AT&T.

Usually refilling a phone does not change the apn settings, so you must check it to see if there has been any changes, this what it allows you to access the internet and mms.

This not the solution to my problem as I have no problem receiving messages, it is in the typing of the text messages. I have to gage where I hit each letter as I cannot get the results I want by hitting the letter straight on. Please address this problem.

Depends on your service provider. I believe there is a default setting or tap the softkey to change. You may want to check on forums.motorola.com. i would also check www.motorola.com/support

in recent calls press up arrow key quickly followed by * Each time you do this you will cycle through, missed calls, received calls, dialled calls, then back to recent calls.
