My solution is to never buy a SanDisk product ever again. Try stomping on it for 15-20 seconds. Ths helped me =)

Hi, I have a sansa e250, and it seems it is frozen. Tried to hold turn off buttom for about 20 seconds, and when it starts turning on, the Sandisk logo shows up, then updating data with that line being shown in porcentage.........1%.....4%...But the real problem, it gets frozen at this part. After that , nothing workks. Turn it off again, and the same problem comes back. Tried to connect it ,now my computer does not recognize it...What should I do? Thanks Cris Goulart

Try to reset it- hold down the power button for about twenty seconds. http://sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1532 The tool you can download at the above link will supposedly reset the machine to its factory condition; note that any data on the device will be lost.

Device not playing

The software/firmware of the player is going to need to be updated. You can download the latest drivers from the sandisk website so pc recognizes it, then download the software/firmware update and transfer it to the player

Sansa e250 MP3 Player starting problem

Do a Firmware upgrade first - http://www.sandisk.com/sansa/#/support-0/
Enter Sansa e200 series

If this does not work, try the other methods I suggest in my Sansa player "Tips and Tricks" - click on My Profile if you do not see the article in the solutions section (no offense to Fixya, but your website is not yet user-friendly - needs some work).

Restart

try doing this and let me know if it goes into recovery mode
1. with mp3 off slide the hold button to on so it locks
2.hold down record button on left hand side and keep held down
3. whilst holding record turn mp3 on still hold down record it should now be in recovery mode if your mp3 player gets this far then it can be fixed.
Once in recovery mode goto sandisk site and you need to goto downloads and download latest firmware for your make and model once downloaded it will talk you through how to istall this onto your mp3 player if you have any problems let me know ok

I'm freeze

The firmware of the player is corrupted.Have you tried to update the firmware of the player? If not please follow this steps to resolve this problem. Enable the hold switch for it to show the orange color then press and hold the record and menu button until it shows welcome to recovery mode. Download the sansa firmware updater at the sandisk site and install and run it at in your computer. Then after that it will then be asking you to connect a device plug the player to the computer and perform the update. If the update is successfull you will be prompted to choose a language. hope this helps. :D
