Philips 43P8341 - Red and Green Smear, bad picture
I own the Philips 43p8341 rear projection television. We've had 2 issues in the years we've had it, first being that no remote will change the input so we have to do it on the television face itself...which we aren't really worried about at all...in fact I don't care about that. My problem now is the screen recently looks like I'm trying to watch oldschool scrambled cable channels that I don't get. There's also an influx of the red and green colors as well. Can anyone help?

You will need two STK392-120 convergence IC and about six 6.8 ohm 1watt convergence resistors you can get the parts at the following link and they provide free step by step instructions with pics. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
You will need to replace both convergence ICs they are STK392-110 and you will also need four 6.8 ohm 1watt resistor. You can get replacement ICs and resistors at the following link with free installation instructions. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
Generally, a convergence issue...requires chassis pull &
replacement of two IC's.....large STK's on largest heatsinks in set......up-grade for STK392-110,120 = STK393-160...I use
Hitachi # CZ 01341.....Do not use generics ! Also, check for
over-heated resistors near IC's....1 to 2 ohm.....1 to 2 watt.........
