It sounds that closed caption function is On with your TV. Try to access the close caption On/Off function, by its menu controls and try to set it off. Some TVs wont allow you to do this, even though there is a Menu control on its front panel. To such TVs, a remote control is a must to get rid of this.

Testimonial: "Thanks so much managed to get into the menu but no success definately need remote. Thanks so much for help at least a decision is made now to work it out. Cheers Jill"

Where do i find a remote controll for visco model vsc-32v1?

Visco is a value brand, originally built by mitsubishi/nec. When the major companies supercede their sets with newer models, they strip down the original design and put them up for contract to be marketed by third parties. Same basic guts as the polaroid sets. Directv lists a remote code, 10810, for these sets, so you should be able to buy a universal remote that will work this set. It would be much cheaper than trying to find an original remote.

My tv has to be on ch 03 to watch satelite but now CH03 is on the screen how do i get rid of it

With the original remote you would hit display, if no display on this remote you are out of luck. Sooner or later if display up all the time it will burn that image into the screen.

Replaced TY-LA1000 Lamp and now a black box across the picture, TV is PT-50LC14

Check in main menu (set and box if using one) under closed captions--one of the settings is TEXT--black box will appear in middle of screen and certain channels--with the remote turn text off.

Black box in upper left of screen

Thats the PIP (picture in picture), which lets you watch two pictures at once.  Push the PIP remote or go into the settings to turn the box off.
