VEO webcam For some reason I cannot use my VEO webcam to video chat with others...It says it isnt plugged in or that its in use by another program. Neither is true. Do I need some driver? If so where do I find this? I went to the web site which isnt even available anymore. Help!

Sign in to your skype, click on tools, then go to video settings and set up your camera-see if skype recognizes it. Choose the your camera on drop down menu and save settings. Now you can normally make a video call (the other side has to "reply with video") In case your camera does not load automatically, then click on camera icon in picture window menu (just above the chat window).

If you want to see if it's a gmail or orkut problem or a webcam problem, try out video chat on another site (http://www.6rounds.com is a good one) IF IT DOESNT WORK THAN GO TO STEP:2 STEP2: I just found a way to get this to work. I was having the same problem - everything was working but the video, even if it worked in other applications. Here's what I did to get my video to work:

At the download page for the video and voice plugin, try installing. Cancel the installation, then click on the link to download the out-of-browser installer (it says something about having trouble with the download). Then, close your browser and run the installer.

This worked for me! Try it out and let me know if it works for you.

Do you have MSN messenger or any other instant messenger program starting when your computer starts up, if so thats probably your problem.
Use MSconfig (in run box) or a program like cc cleaner to check your startup folder

Before you can use your webcam in any chat program you have to configure it to that program

Test your webcam here to make sure it broadcasts ok - Hit 'Allow' in the top window and check your cam in the left hand panel.

Connect webcam
Its good practice to disconnect and re-connect your webcam before you start (To reboot the webcam software) - if you have been using it elsewhere the SKYPE software may have difficulty in locating it, even if you exited the previous program correctly.
The reason being, the webcam software can remain hooked-up to a program and needs to be rebooted.
Mine, I just unplug it from the USB and plug it back in to reboot the software.
If yours is integral with the computer you will have to re-start the computer, use a keyboard shortcut or disable / enable the webcam from the Device Manager.

Start Skype.
On the 'Tools' menu, click 'Options'.
In the navigation pane of the Skype 'Options' window, click 'Audio Settings'
Run down the list setting your defaults
Select your webcam as the default microphone.
Make a free test call
Click 'Save'
In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Video Settings.
This will launch your webcam
Adjust quality of picture in 'Settings'
Check the correct webcam is shown as default
Click Save
Test your webcam by making a Skype test call.

Dear! Don't worry it is very easy to get the driver for the came. Open the website of your cam vender, select your region then click on products select your cam and download cam's driver. I assure your problem will be solved.

Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype (http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/beta/downloading/) set it up as follows:

1. Go to Tools, then Options, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
2. Then click on the Video Settings.
3. The camera if Installed Properly will come up and show a video picture.
4. Then, on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now be able to see and her to you.

there are some drivers. you didnt list the model of stingray you have so those are the most popular ones. not sure what exactly you are wanting to do with the webcam. Please be more specific. Are you trying to video chat over an instant messaging program? ... once you have the drivers installed for your camera you should be able to go into the setup for IM program and configure it to use your camra.
