Kodak dc 265

I just got this digital camera as part of my very large collection ( 800 cameras )and took some pictures with it. All pictures are slighly blurry and not adjusted as if a little distance from normal makes it impossible to be adjusted whatever the lens does ( wide to tele is equal ) Is there any way to upgrade the internal program ? Who knows how to resolve my problem? Thanks for your support and sorry for my English. Edmond.

    Jackboy

Thanks a lot for your support.
It doen 't help so much . Sorry
I am in fact interested by some advise as where I could get an update for the software initially in place .
Do you know if there has been some update offered in the past and where I could still get it ?
Do you know if someone could make a copy of a working software and send it to me ?
Kodak doesn't offer any support as the product has been discontinued a while ago.

    Edmond.

    JACKBOY
I AM SORRY IF I MISSLEAD YOU.
YOU EASILY CAN UPDATE THE INTERNAL SOFTWARE OF A DIGITAL CAMARE PROVIDED YOU CAN GET THE LAST VERSION SOMEWHERE.
I HAVE UPGRADE MANY DIGITAL CAMERAS PRODUCED BY KODAK SUCH AS DX 6340 DX 6440 LS 443 DX 4900.
THERE IS A WEB SITE WHERE YOU CAN COPY AND THEN INSTALE THESE LAST VERSIONS IN THE CAMERA WHEN THE SUPPORT IS STILL ALIVE.
THE QUESTION IS : how to get the last availiable software ?
    Does someone knows it ?
    Regards Edmond.

The firm ware is not upgradable I tnih- Kodak Tech help may have a different answer have you asked? Blurred images could be nothing more than being inadvertantly set to Macro or low light or being 'stuck' on either of these. have you checked?

I dont think you quite understand the working of these things= or is it me?
You refer to software-this is programs or utility material that comes on a disc with the camera that is installed on the computer,
It has nothing to do with the operation of a camera as such.
As far as I am aware there no camera that allow for their firmware to be flashed- which is what you are asking - or if there is it would be of the Hi-end Pro variety.
If you can show me I am wrong in this please do not hesitate to let me know -I will bow to your superior knowledge.

    Good morning EDZUIKROL,

    How do you achieve that?
    I am intrigued
    Tell me what you did
Do all manufacturers offer the opportunity to do this?
This is valuable information that may help others.

WHAT MODEL CARD NEED FOR KODAK D 265 TELL ME PLEASE

The DC265 is no longer supported by Kodak thorugh chat, email, or other means, only a manual on it exists for download:

http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/products/ekn006593.jhtml?pq-path=691

I didn't really see anything regarding a card needed to take pictures so I assume it just has internal memory for the camera.

When transfering pictures from camera to PC EasyShare will not transfer some pictures. "picture already exists" in My Collection. These are all new pictures taken with blank memory card. This occurs even...

Scrap the camera! Kodak hasn't and won't address the problem. Most picture download software won't recognize the camera. The only solution is to remove the memory card from the camera, put it in USB adapter and treat it like a flash drive. Cumbersome. Awkward. Stupid. After you scrap the ****, tell your friends so they don't make the mistake of buying a Kodak.

My Kodak Easyshare V1233 will only power up when plugged into the wall charger. Even after staying on the charger it will not power on unless plugged in.

Kodak has 3 types of charger that can be connected to a wall socket
USB AC Adapter - is especially useful when traveling, away from your computer, or just plain on-the-go. Connect your camera's USB cable to the adapter and plug it into a wall outlet to conveniently charge your camera.
5V AC Adapter - Provides in-camera charging for all KODAK EASYSHARE M and V Series Digital Cameras
Input: AC 100-240 V 50/60 Hz Output : DC 5.0 V
3V AC Adapter - Provides direct power to your camera but it will not charge the camera battery
Input: AC 100-240 V 50/60 Hz Output : DC 3.0 V

* You need to check the type of adapter your using. If your using the 5V AC adapter or USB adapter and the camera won't charge the battery contact kodak support line 1 800 235 6325 (23KODAK) for possible repair.

Pictures taken and attached to email too large to send.

This page has details about emailing pictures using your camera

http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/publications/urg00897toc.jhtml?pq-path=13176/13178

There is an option to set the picture size in your camera. You will have to adjust that to take smaller pictures

Hope this helps !!!

KODAK eASYSHARE c530 BLACK SCREEN DOES NOT TAKE PICTURE

You may still be able to take pictures with your black screened Kodak camera. This problem occurs in the line of Kodak EasyShare digital camera models.

When you turn on your Kodak EasyShare digital camera, turn off the LiveView function. Take a picture using the small-windowed viewfinder (this is not the LCD screen). Also, try zooming in and out.

After taking a picture, review the picture to see if the picture has been taken. Then turn on LiveView and occasionally the LCD screen should no longer be showing a black screen.
