Question about Sceptre X20g-Naga III 20.1" LCD Monitor
I have a Sceptre X20g-Naga III 20.1" LCD Monitor and a Radeon x800 AGP graphics card but the monitor will not return from idle or come back on after I turn it off. The only way to get the DVI working is to restart the computer. I've purchased multiple DVI cables and reinstalled the drivers countless times. I've tried the Catalyst Control Center and just the display drivers but nothing fixes it. I've even reformatted but I am still unable to turn my monitor off and then back on or let it go idle. This problem seems to only occur with Sceptre monitors and ATI cards occasionally and I've noticed some people have solved it in various ways through driver issues but for some reason it has not worked for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -Sean
The only workaround was to not use the DVI cable but to use the old VGA cable. You still get the same resolution.
I have a different ATI board, so I'm thinking it's an ATI+Sceptre on DVI input bug. Anyway, use the VGA cable, it'll work.
