I have a durabrand portable dvd player (not sure what model)made in 2006. i would like to know how to recharge the batteries? the rechargeable battery is attached to the bottom of the unit (it's removable) but I don't have a cable to recharge it...any ideas? thank you!
You need the ac cord. Just Plug in the ac cord and the battery to the unit and the battery will charge. When the light is green it is charged. Usully takes 3-4 hours.

Re:
Try a standard multi voltage charger.
These come with a selection of connectors each one of a specific size and color coded.
so you pick the connector to fit the input jack then set the charger to the appropriate color to give the correct voltage.

The litium battery should last u about 3 and 3 1/2 years.The minium used about 4 1/2 hours a day,about 3 times a month.Tries Websites Amazon.com,Ebay.com should have this Litium battery.
I wrote to Walmart.com. The corporate office. They contacted my local store and the store replaced my machine with a brand new magnavox even though my machine was 1 year old, Try it. They told us that customer satisfaction was guaranteed. They also told us that the company was out of business.
You can check with Radio Shack or Batteries + and see if its a common item based on those specifications.
The Durabrand portable DVD players are no longer supported by Walmart because the company contracted to make them went out of business last year. Ripoffreport.com has several complaints about the product line. Walmart has been exchanging them.
Wal-mart does sell replacement batteries. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=2350787 For this particular unit. However; in the future I would suggest researching a particular item before buying esp from Wal-mart. As Durabrand doesn't even have a website.
