Eureka will not charge

I have a Eureka cordless Vac (the boss) model 79 and I haven't used it for a couple of years. I charged it in the off position all day, but it still will not work. What gives?

I just bought me one at a Goodwill in town for $4.00, like new!!
And sorry for this late answer, But it sounds like you need a new set of rechargeable batteries for it..
(IF your handy with a soldering iron)
Check it out online or look for a Batteries Plus store in your area..

My cordless vac will not charge properly. It starts and stops a few times before it quits all together.. Any ideas on how to remedy this problem?

How old is this vac? I ask because newer cordless systems use better battery technology with memory on charging. If it is fairly new then it could be a loose charging port. If it is more than 3 years old you may need to think about a new vac unless you can physically change the battery. (Li-Ion/newest and has 'memory', NiMH, NiCd are older).

Where is the reset button the eureka the boss smart vac

There are many different models of Boss Smart vac so I can't say for sure without your model number but it most likely does not have a reset button. It may have a reset switch built into the motor.

I have a Eureka Easyclean that will not hold a charge and want to replace the Electrolux battery it comes with and cannot find one. Can you?

Sadly, the battery is not replaceable on this unit. According to the schematic, I can get almost every part but that. This is common with all of the cordless units too. Batteries are usually the same price as purchasing a new unit. If the unit is more than 1 year old, sorry to say its pretty much garbage. IF the unit is less than one year, it should be under warranty and replaced by your local Eureka/Electrolux dealer.

Also, not all hope is lost on this unit, if there is an obvious burn, or connection issue, a little bit of solder should correct the problem.
Good luck!!

We just moved in - the house is about 9 years old. I have a Eureka Mega Boss central vac - looks like model # is CV20220. 12.4 amps, 120 volts. Can't figure out what type of bags I need. Can you...

Well, for this unit you will need any of the following bags,

Eureka genuine Part# 90610
Eureka replacement (Central vac bag)
another genuine bag style called CV-1, and/or CV-2
Kenmore Central vac bags

Most of the bags there are available at your local vacuum shop, and sometimes even Sears. The Kenmore central vac bag is, can and will fit your Eureka Mega Boss. Prices range on these bags anywhere from $12-$20 for packages of 3. Generally you will replace a bag once every 3-4 months.

Good luck,
Mark
