I have an RCA 52" HDTV Model # d52w20
I am having some ongoing audio problems. For a while the sound would come on and off. As of yesterday there is no sound playing from the TV at all. I dont know if it could be a loose wire or what? Please help! Thanks.

Try connecting the RCA cables to your TV's input jacks, make sure it says Audio input. Also, some TV's do not support audio in for VGA cables, if they do it's usually a 3.5mm jack labeled PC Audio or PC Speakers.
sounds more like a vertical problem since the audio still works. If it were multiple green lines then I would say green tube but the tube will usually shut a set down and it will be dead no audio. Try replacing the audio output IC
