E2 Error I just bought an open box Kenmore 19233. On powerup, I received the "E2 Error". Any ideas on how to resolve the issue? Thanks!

I had the same problem before. Couldn't figure it out since it was not listed in the booklet. It was time for me to have the my machine maintenance and so decided for Sears to do the job. They replace a fuse from behind the touch control panel. If you know someone or yourself to be mechanically gifted, you can replace the fuse that cost about $2-5. Someone stated RADIO SHACK have them also. Check to see what type of fuse. Either 2.5A or AC 250v 3.15A. There are about 2-3 fuses behind that touch control panel. The moveable ones can be replaced, but DON'T touch the permanent wired ones. I haven't opened it myself, but read and heard about it.

E1, E2 error messages after needle breaks. Cleaned everything as good as possible, still getting message. I have a Kenmore Model 385.19233
Theirs a problem with the fuse on those machines. The e1 indicates that a fuse has been blown. check out the link for more details.

E1 e2 error
No you should not. A fuse is an emergency power cut off, and a higher power fuse, like the 3.5 takes more power to cut off or blow than the 2.5. This will cause damage to your machine. Always replace the fuses with the proper ones for safety and to protect your machine.

Dropping Feed dogs on kenmore model 19233
Remove extension table/accessory box by gentle pulling it away from machine. You are left with just the free arm. In the back of the free arm, lower left corner, you will fine the feed dog lever. Push the leaver to the right to lower the feed dog.Instructions for lowering and raising the feed dog are on page 48 of your owner's manual. Good luck!

The 19233 hasn't got a presser foot regulator on it. Not all sewing machines do, especially the newer ones, although there is a Kenmore that is more expensive that does. I haven't needed it al all anyway, and am not used to it on any other machine. I used to have this on my Pfaff, but never used it.
