"the audio driver files do not support your hardware"

Hey guys, I just built my computer a few days ago and seemed to have come across a slight problem, I can't get sound! I've got all the drivers, I'm just stuck with this error message whenever I attempt to get SoundMAX drivers to install, it would be highly appreciated if you guys can help me out. Heck I don't even know what the sound card on this thing is, so I don't know if SoundMAX is appropriate or not... Please help....soon....

Hello justin you can download the driver here:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM2/M2R32MVP/#download

Please select your windows system 32 or 64 bit
If you are running windows 7 try the vista driver it
sometimes work.
Click on audio and hit global for download.
Please unzip the file before you install.

Make sure its the right mainboard type in the mainboard number
or use Model Automatic Detection here:

No that's the problem though, whenever I install (or in this instance attempt to install the driver) the same error message continues to pop-up. I'm at a complete loss. Is there anything else I could possibly do?

Hello what windows system are you running ? there is a difference between 32 and 64 bit so you can`t use a 64 bit driver on a 32 bit system, Maybe the sound card is not working. But you can buy a sound card to add on the mainboard like creative soundblaster. And remember the greenoutlet is for the speakers. If you are trying to install the sounddriver make sure the old one is uninstalled.

Windows XP 32, don't worry I know 32/64 don't mix. The soundcard could just be not working, it's on the motherboard so I don't know. I would buy one but I have no money until next week. I know that. And if the sounddriver would be installed in the first place I might have done that but I couldn't install one anyway. But thank for at least getting back to me so quickly, I hope we can find the problem.

How do you extract audio from Maxell Hi8 tape?

easy: locate a local audio/video transfer place or videography studio that you can hand these off to. Request mp3 format on CD as the mode of delivery. Usually they have the equipment needed and it isn't very expensive. Some will even clean up the sound for you.
Slightly more difficult: locate a hi-8 player, buy a $30 conversion cable that goes from the hi-8 camera or hi-8 deck to your computer (type of cable will depend on the type of camera you get and type of computer you have), download video editing software and capture the tapes. Once the files are in the computer you can export as mp3 and burn a disc.

Assuming that this is Win XP or Vista, reinstall the Zenith Audio Drivers again. If you have any issues then check that the aduio is Ok by looking at Device Manager from Control Panel. This will show any issues with the hardware and the device drivers.

Assuming that you have an MSI or Gigabyte motherboard check the model number and then get the latest drivers from
