Hello sir. My Olympus xD picture card (128 mb) works well when downloading images direct to my PC(xp)by inserting it in my media slot. No trouble to delete all images after transfer or to format the card with the computer. When returning the card into my digital camera (Olympus D395) I am asked to format it, I say yes and I get: card error! So it is no longer usefull in my camera. But I tried it as a storage media with Microsoft Office Word for example and it worked well to save and remove text. Is there a way to reformat it for my camera? On the other hand, with my xD picture Olympus 16 MB card I have none of these problems. I thank you very much for your attention, Claude Gosselin Qu?bec Canada
Hi all. I too had the same problem and after trying all the possible solutions (aperase, smprep, smformat, etc.) I finally found one working application that helped me solve this problem. Download Flashdoctor from here http://driver.zol.com.cn/detail/10/95395.shtml Insert your xd card into a card reader connected to your PC then run Flashdoctor. Format your xd card using this tool then insert it back in your camera, voila! I formatted it again through the camera just to be sure, now everything's working fine. Hope this helps as it helped me. Good day!

Try formating the card in the Camera twice. or Download PCinspector from www.convar.com Install this program and run the recovery program with the card in the media slot. Then back to camera and format, Come back
