Radio has been working fine for quite a while. But, now, when the ignition key is turned (to start the car) nothing happens to the radio.
The 'manual' method to turn the radio on will not do anything.
If the 'Power Button' is depressed, the radio will act like it is powering up - opening the door.....but after a few seconds it closes the door and powers off.
I have verified all needed voltages and grounds.
ANY Assistance will be GREATLY Appreciated! ! !!
Try holding down BUTTON , then press the RESET button (you'll need a ballpen between the AUTO and SCRL buttons). This worked on the KDC-MP825 (very similar to the MPV8025) when my wife had the same problem this month.

The conveience delay module may have a problem if equipped. It is designed to operate some of the features with the ignition turned off( radio, wipers, power windows etc) until the driver opens the door and power is then cut to these features.
possible bcm you have a on board computer that tells you when doors are open lights are on also after turning key off you can listen to radio or open close windows for a limit of time then the bcm cuts off the power to everything if you are not sure check with dealer if they have problems with bcms body control module
Yes. Because the security system was "set". You need the code to unlock the security system for the radio. It is like that for theft pruposes. Best bet is to go to the dealership to have them reset it or figure out how to get the code for your radio.
Some cars allow power to the radio, etc. even after the key is turned off and taken out of the ignition. If everything turns off when the door opens, then it is most likely normal for your car. I know the newer VW Jetta's do this.
It's usually the flexible pcb that connects the fascia to the main board that needs replacing, because the fascia opens and closes each time the ignition is turned on and off the connector flexes and eventually some of it snaps, sometimes if you pop the trim off you can see the snapped pcb on the bottom right hand side of your radio
