Power indicator blinking is an indication that the protection circuit inside the unit has been activated to prevent further damage. You may need to have the unit checked by qualified technician. Most probable cause is a damage component in the power supply circuit or those directly connected to it (mostly output component).

Sharp model lc-20sh1u won't turn on, just makes a clicking sound and indicator light flashes red.

The clicking sound may be a power relay coming on and then off--problem indicates a trouble in the main power supply.

Sharp Aquos LC-32GD8E-picture goes off at random, sometimes switching it off and on again solves the probelm, sometimes not

I had the same problem with the Sharp Acquos LC-32GD8E. A repair man was able to fix this by opening up the back cover and tightening the metal (ground) shield. the screws seem to have come lose. If I had known this I would have done it myself!

Pressed the wrong button when setting up new sharp acquos 46 in lcd tv.

You might try pulling the AC plug out and leaving it overnight. Since many sets are now using a little flash memory that does not require constant power to remember stored settings, this may not work.

No POWER

How many times does the POWER led flash per second? (Dont worry about the OPC).

1x (steady constant blink) = Lamps or inverters
2x = Power Supply
3x = Main Unit

If i am reading it correctly, looks like the POWER led is flashing 2x, which means it is a power supply failure. Either way, your TV needs to have a board replaced, there isn't anything you can do to fix it yourself. Try locating your local sharp authorized service center to repair your TV (1-800-237-4277)
