I contacted pioneer on the issue and they informed me that on the older models such as this one if the radio picks up anything on 89.1 or 89.5 then it will not work due to the fact that these are the only stations it functions on.

I have a KEH-P1010 it just keeps switching the casseette back and forth and won't play it.

Are you using the same casettes in the car all the time? It sounds like the tapes are getting loose on the spool. Try a new casette that hasn't been used in the car.

PIONEER KEH-P1010

depends on the kind of car, if there is a "CAN" around it then there is a metal cahe that you need to slide 2-4 removal tools in the sides to remove it, you can use any think metal tabs abought 3-4 in long as removal tools,

if its an ISO DIN mount there are screws holding it in from the sides.

if this doesnt help much can you tell me the make and model of the car?

Wiring diagram

look on the bottom of the reciever where you would find the model number and you will see the chart where you can find what all of the colors mean......
