I tried all of the suggestions....no luck.
So i started pressing buttons and i managed to get the DVD out. What i did was while the unit was off i pressed "Open" and the >>/>>I button. It powered up and it said "Lock" again. I pressed the same buttons again and it opened.
However I think the unit is stuffed. I closed the unit and then tried to open it again and it said locked. I then did what i did above and it said no disk.
Something is going on - can't seem to find a master reset.

Try unplugging the unit from power for 10 minutes then plugging back in to try to reset the system. If this does not solve it you may have a faulty ejection circuit in the unit, when the circuit is activated it locks the system.

I need to eject the dvd from the machine I have misplaced the manual and don't remember how to do it

No, Above Control panel in Computer. You will find the name of the disk you have in there. You can eject from there. =)

Why does my Dvd player in Flatscreen TV continue to try to eject disc when it has already been taken out?

My first guess is that something is jammed inside and is triggering the eject mode.
Have you tried inserting and playing a disk?

DVD will not eject on my toshiba laptop

Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll down cd-dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question /exclamation mark ? ! or a red X right click to update driver

you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd restart your computer then plug them back this should activate the found new hardware wizard

if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem if you cant see your disk drive in windows explorer

if there is a small hole on the panel of your dvd drive push a staightened paper clip inside until you feel it press down this will open up the drive

hope this helps

DVD tray will not open. Lock is not on. I have tried unplugging the unit then plugging it in again. What do you suggest?

I think your DVD player is trying to read the disk, but it can't. Try unplugging the unit. Holding down the eject button and plugging it back in. After it begins to to power up you can release the eject button. What your wanting to do is to get it to eject before it tries to read the disk. Good luck.

Disc tray does not always open

well i understand why the remote won't eject the disk because there is no eject function button on the remote. The top pannel function button's are the only way to eject a disc on this system. on these units I have seen the button's go bad and need replacement. More likely the dvd section of the unit is starting to go bad. Bose has a reasonable factory repair rate. The drive swap is simple but requires some technical skill. Obtaining the drive is difficult as bose does not sell just the drive. I have listed myself and seen some listed on ebay for sale. I hope this helps. Dan

Cannot Eject DVD

There will be a manual eject but its slightly tricky. There will be a small hole(about 1mm diameter) near the tray where you insert the DVD. Just insert a samll pin or something into it and keep shoving it in and out by repeatedly pressing the eject button. If its just a stuck DVD then it will come out in a JIFFy. Otherwise send it for repairs as taking the unit apart might void your warranty! Good luck!

Locked dvd tray.

To unlock, manually press and HOLD the open/close button & the stop button simultaneously, and HOLD them both down until the lock picture disappears.   The DVD will eject when you press the open/close button.

To lock the DVD inside the machine, repeat the same step, and it will lock it inside.
