I would personally if two weeks old take it back for exchange or repair as it has a warranty unless tampered with.

SOURCE: picture works on tv but not dvd only sond works

Should be one of 2 problems:

  • Connections in wrong spot - double-check to make sure all cables are in correct inputs and outputs
  • DVD may be set to display video through a digital conneciton instead of analog (or vice-versa)
If it's not the connections, then try unplugging the DVD player, hitting the power button couple of times, plugging it back in, this may force it back to default settings (if you're not using DVI or HDMI connection).

Brand new 47" "Edge Lit" LED, model MV4(Cant

I believe there may be another setting, it has to do with auto contrast which can make the TV seems to have high contrast ratio but sometime it does not work right, espically on the scene with dark sky with stars, someitme it will will reduce the brightness to make black real black and you can loger see the stars in the scene. I forget the name of this setting, it may be in the user manual. Do you see that in TV HD mode in other movies with a lot of dark scenes?
