Bosch DMW 40 L makes a clicking noise when it is on.

Noise starts when it is swithed on. Quits when it is switched off. Seems to read ok, but can't figure out what could be causing the noise. Noise seems to come from the pivot area.

SOURCE: Squeaks from drum area during operation

We have a Bosch Nexxt dryer and it, too, squeaks during operation. We have not been able to find a permanent solution for this problem although we've had the repairman come out 3 times now. We have however found a temporary solution that lasts for about a week. We spray Static Guard (in an aerosol can) in the inside lining of the dryer... kind of in the lip of the front. (You shuld be able to feel it if you put your hand right inside the door.) We've just been spraying the static guard all the way around that area and the squeaking stops! Hope this works for y'all. May not be permanent but at least it stops the annoying sqeaking!

SOURCE: started making loud "clicking" noise

Blocked pump, open flap bottom right, drain off excess water manually and remove pump filter. Make sure you get right down and have a look in at the impellor and give it a turn to make sure its free to rotate. You'll probably find a coin, button etc that is catching the pump impellor. When you start a cycle the pump engages for a few seconds and then the w/m takes in water, so if something is stopping the impellor rotating the w/m will not start.
Best of luck

SOURCE: Squealing noise

had same squealing problem.... had machine checked over. NOTHING WRONG.
Repair people ran it a few times with just water and no squealing at all. they also ran it with detergent capsule [Fairy] No squealing. Have got it back to monitor it. Used Fairy capsules for a few washes and no problems. As soon as I used the Waitrose Essential concentrated dishwasher liquid, the squeak was back with a vengeance.
The moral of my story is TRY NOT USING LIQUID DISHWASHER DETERGENT

Snapping noise then quits

Not sure what model yours is, but sounds like you have a bad start capacitor that has dried up or swelled and "snapping" when making connection. If you can give me the Brand and model number I can see what capacitor you need.

My bosch clasixx wont start fills and drains ok but just clicks

Possible motor brushes, worst case scenario..motor fault. Put the dial to off, hold the start button whilst turning selector one click left to 30 easy care, turn the dial to 40 cotton (without going thru the off ie all the way round anti clockwise) press start. This will activate the motor test, if you get two lights flashing separated by a led that is off this is a motor fault. (Not necessarily the motor complete, also will indicate loss of contact in the brushes). If it is a model with a display it may show F05. Happy hunting.

Your air temp control blend door actuator is failing, that is the part u call a heater door, it is a gear driven miniature drive, the gears are jumping teeth making the noise, it will stop working very soon.
