The lint filter will not go back into place correctly
I removed the lint filter, which then unscrewed the cap in the process, now I can not replace the lint filter, all that it seems to be doing is sliding in and out, not turning the actual filter, just tightening and loosening the cap.

looking at the manual the filter should withdraw with the drain plug.
It suggests the filter should be cleaned every month. My guess is that so much lint has built up on your filter it is preventing it being removed with the plug. If you have access to an air supply you could try blowing into the filter to try and free the lint off it
you need to check the filter maybe something inside
Sometimes lint and other debris can collect in your drain pump filter. Keep things running smoothly by cleaning your drain pump filter occasionally.
Open the drain pump filter cover by pressing on the center tab.
Pull out the manual drain hose to the left of the filter cap and use a small bowl or pan to drain out any residual water (approximately 2 cups) that is remaining in the drain pump.
Place a towel down on the floor to catch any left over water and remove the drain pump filter, by turning it counterclockwise.
Remove any lint or items trapped in the filter by tapping it out into the wastebasket, and rinse it thoroughly with warm water.
Replace the plug at the end of the manual drain hose and place it back into the holder. Then reinsert the filter into the drain pump opening and turn it clockwise to secure it back in place.
I will suggest you steps to check whether your washing machine has a lint filter. Follow the instructions below. 1)Turn off the washing machine and open the lid or door if you have a front-loading appliance. 2)Place your hand on the upper lip of a front-loading or top-loading washer tub and feel around the circumference for a flat tab. Pull out this tab, which is the handle for the lint filter. If you cannot find a tab on a top-loading washer, continue troubleshooting.
3)Unscrew the cap on the top of the agitator in a top-loading washer. The agitator is the center cone inside the appliance.
4)Pull the lint filter out of the agitator and rinse under cold, running water to clean. 5)Slide the filter into position as far as it will go. Replace the agitator cap if your appliance uses a lint filter in the agitator.
Clean the pump filter screen.... Remove bottom front panel see filter housing located next to pump unscrew cap by turning counter clockwise... Clean/remove debris located inside(place shallow pan under housing and remove cap slowly so you can reinstall if pan get full)... Be prepared for some water to leak out when cap is removed(could be up to several gallons depending on how clogged up it is) .
Remove the lower kick plate. Unscrew the two screws holding the kick plate in place, and gently pull off to remove. The kick plate is the lower outside cover of the washing machine.
Place a small bucket under the white hose. Remove the cap on the white hose by untwisting it. Allow any remaining water in the hose to drain into the small bucket. There shouldn't be much water, but there can be some.
Look inside the white hose. Remove any visible obstructions or lint.
Look inside the hose cap. This is where the lint filter is. Remove any visible lint with your fingers. Rinse the hose cap under warm water to remove any remaining lint.
Twist the cap back onto the white hose. Put the kick plate back in place. Screw back on.
The filter status display will help you know when to change your water filter. When the display reads 10%, order a new filter. It is recommended that you replace the filter when the display reads 10% OR when water flow to your water dispenser or ice maker decreases.
The filter should be replaced at least every 6 months depending on your water quality and usage.
Step 2 Press the eject button to release the filter from the base grille.
Step 3 Pull the filter straight out.
Step 4
Turn the cap counterclockwise to remove it from the filter. IMPORTANT: Do not discard the cap. It is part of your refrigerator. Keep the cap to use with the replacement filter.
Step 5 Align the ridge on the cap with the arrow on the new filter and turn the cap until it snaps into place.
Step 6 Remove the protective covers from the O-rings. Be sure the O-rings are still in place after the covers are removed.
Step 7 Push the filter into the base grille. The eject button will pop back out when the filter is fully engaged.
Step 8 Flush the water system. Use a sturdy cup or glass. Depress and hold the water dispenser lever for 5 seconds, then release it for 5 seconds. Repeat this process until water begins to flow. Once water begins to flow, continue depressing and releasing the dispenser lever. Hold down for 5 seconds and then release for 5 seconds. Do this on/off process for about 2 minutes. This will flush air from the filter and water dispensing system.
OE means OUTLET ERROR. If you have water in the machine, you can either drain the water using the small hose inside the lint filter door(bottom right hand side), removing the end cap. A second, and quicker method, is to lean the machine up against the rear wall at approximately 45 degree angle(TAKE CARE to secure), unscrew the lint filter cap, looking down the barrel you will most likely find: a coin(s), wire, rubber band(around impellor) etc. If your pump is unusually noisy, one of these items will have damaged the pump. ALWAYS take care checking clothing for these items before placing in washing machine as bowl damage is costly and NOT covered by warranty.
actually the write up from ollie reese is not correct and is demontrated on a kawasaki. Though kaw is manufactured by suzuki, the motor shown is not the same. its is all correct however your oil filter is located and sticking out of the front side of your engine, just like a car oil filter. You cannot miss it. so drain oil from drain plud below, remove the oil filter(please note this will have oil in it and most likely spill so be prepared) and replace. now fill the oil where you find the black dipstick to factory set levels and ride away. good luck
Try removing the lint filter from the dryer and with no clothes, start the the dryer, and if it works then replace your lint filter.
Tip: Fabric softener sheets in the dryer can deposit an invisible coating on the screen of the filter and reduce air flow.
