Broken Screen I dropped my Sony DSC T70 touch screen camera and the screen is broken. Is it replaceable with a screen if I buy it from eBay? Is that difficult? I knew I should have bought the guarantee.

I bought a new replacement screen. I tried to open case. but it doesn't open easily. Afraid to break it. Not sure how to open it. Need help on how to open it up and reaplce new screen.

Sony DSC-T70 still takes pictures but screen off

Since you've already swapped the screen, it looks like there is an issue with your logic board. However many times ebay vendors send you a screen that will fit but is incompatible, so I wouldn't exclude that possibility. I work for Sony Repair NYC and we do this repair frequently.

MY SONY T70 WAS RUN OVER THE SCREEN IS BROKEN BUT STILL WORKS

Any of these small cameras are very delicate to handle and to fix.
The screen may cost half or more of a new camera including the labor to install it.
Another thing to check is...are other parts of the camera damaged? Are there dents anywhere? Any dents can spell future trouble if in the wrong place.

A suggestion:
Sell it on a site such as Ebay as a parts, repair, and or as is. This will give you a part of the money to buy a new camera.

it might have a hairline crack or broken connection in one of the circuitry inside. I'm sure you might be able to find it coz you were able to replace the screen your self (?) good luck!

Hi there, I now have two Cybershot DSC-T10 with broken LCD's. The best remedy that I have found is buy a parts camera with a good LCD on EBAY. You can get the whole camera for way cheaper than you can buy a new LCD.
