Printer tells me "Remove and check colour cartridge" I have done this and also replaced the cartridge with a new one, same message. Printer is HP photosmart C4180 all-in-one, Help please, John

I actually have an HP PSC 1610 print and have the subsequent message: Remove and test shade cartridge. I actually have one that, don't know what I need to see, placed the cartridge back in and still have an equal problem. I've in no way visible this message before, so I do suppose it needs a brand new cartridge, however maybe it does. More about printer issues. I have cleaned the contacts on both the cartridge and the printer, but still get the same message. The printer was working fine the previous day.
