I'm trying to program the remote door opener in my GMC but cannot locate the Smart button on the NED 8700 garage door opener? I believe this is a rolling code transmitter as I cannot locate any DIP switches, is this cocrrect?
A marantec ned8700 has no smart button you have to open the remote n remove the battery then connect the programming 3-prong cable to the terminal on the side of the remote (under the rubber cover) the with a flat screwdriver short out 2 of the prongs one must be the center prong. press and hold the button on the remote that is active, in 2 seconds code will change. elease the button after the light illiminates continuously then remove the programming cable/prongs and replace battery n cover then press n release p button on machine till only 7 lights up take remote hold it 3'' away from button and press button on remote to program for 10 secs release then push p button on machine once, 8 will light up and your set to go

If you held the smart button in too long it erases the memory and none of the remotes will work. To program it press and hold the button on your remote and then press and immediately release the smart button.

If both remotes quit at or about the same time then it is most likely the receiver that has quit. Especially if you have had electrical storms in the area. The receiver is part of your logic board.
