Here is a link to setting up the printer from lexmark website. It is very helpful.

Please note though that there are different drivers for WINDOWS VISTA if that is the operating system you are using. The CD that came with the printer might not have the vista driver. Here is the link for the latest drivers from lexmark website for different operating systems.

It depends on the kind of connection the printer has. Most newer printers will have a USB connection. You can plug your printer into any open USB port on the computer. Some older printers will have a parallel connection (which looks wide and narrow). Your computer will have to have a parallel port for you to be able to use your printer.
With the 410, you will need much more RAM before having a 64 bit OS becomes useful. I assume that you have the default 2GB. In any case, all you need is to buy a x64 OS and install it.
Click on HP's link http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=303756&lang=en& and select your Operating System. Then Download the driver for your printer. Follow the Instructions and Install it.
