Question about Mitsubishi VS-5077/78 TV
Been working on and off for 1 year
The most common issue here in the old sets is bad solder connections--the problem is you have to get the entire chassis free and up so bottom of boards face rear of set---look to power supply---a lot of 2 and 3 lead parts there from heat come loose from the boards and also to the middle of the set on the middle board.
If you are not able to attempt this the set is too old for a shop repair in my view as many parts for it are no longer available.

Hi there!
May be power supply related (old capacitors),dry joints on the main board or dry joints in the video amp section. Check for loose or bad connections. Good luck,JUS004

You definitely have bad solder grounds. I have repaired a few of these. You will need a TV tech pull the boards out and resolder them. The worst board would be the one on the left [signal board, has rca jacks. rf connector]. And they may as well solder the second board. You will have a restored TV when completed. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!
