just reset the player by using paper clip on the hole and press down the player will turn off then try again......

if not you need the proper battery for your h320 iriver player....

You'd need to find someone with a dead one (dead for some other reason) you can then canibalise.

The LCD screen could be replaced you just need to find an appropriate alternative. eBay or web search would probably find one, But you'd need to find the spec of the original first.

Iriver don't repair but do they sell spares?

its just the USb isn't enough space for the usb port to fit in, thats all

Boot failure or just nothing?

Boot failure would be the hard disk.
Just nothing would indicate that the system board is dead.

You don't mention using the mains power adaptor.

try this. the iriver doesn't boot at times ( wrong charger or using the right charger abroad), unlatch the battery and hold down the power button for about 20 seconds. also reset the instrument. hopefully that might work for you.

when i turn on my Iriver PMP-140 it comes up with a message reading
Boot Failure
System file has an error.
To solve the problem, connect the device to computor.
(refer to 'trouble shooting' on the manuel)

I dont have a manual though.
