Ge profile bottom freezer (model GFSS6KIX) not keeping freezer cold enough. Water under veggie drawers.

We did lose power last week during Sandy. Where are the coils located on this model? Could it be the defrost timer? How to check?

First, check the condenser coils for any lint and dirt buildup and see if the condenser fan is running fast.

Post back your results.

SOURCE: GE TFX27PF refrigerator and freezer still not getting cold enough

the partial frost pattern is an indication of low refrigerant, restriction or bad compressor. if the unit is under 5 years old this repair will probably be under warranty thru GE. if out of warranty then you are looking in most cases between 200-500 dollars for repair. good luck Thanx peyton

Your defrost timer is inside the fresh food compartment and behind and inside the control panel. Part number WR09X0489. I will show you a photo location. Be right back, Sea Breeze
