Samsung fridge freezer model: SR-L3426BS/XEU fridge compartment not getting cold. Hi, i have a samsung fridge frezer model no: SR-L3426BS/XEU The freezer seems to be working fine but the fridge compartment is'nt getting cold. I can hear the motor running & the light is still working but nothing else. I have been told to open the door & hold the light switch in to see i the air flow kicks in, which was unsucessful. I have also been told to look for a small hole that the cold air passes through which can sometimes get bunged up, but i cannot find this? I have now turned off the fridge freezer to defrost it. do you have any other suggestions or better still a solution to my problem. Thanks, Frank.
Possible fault if it has one compressor then it could be thermostat faulty or solenoid valve fault. If it has a solenoid valve you will see two thin capillary pipes coming off it. Without a photo it is not possible to say more. Please give the age of the unit..Thermostats can be mechanical or electronic. Is it located in or on the fridge?
You would need your fridge defrost sensor replace, check for ice build up within the vents of fridge section,
best to a tec to come and replace it for you,you would need the sensor to be reset on your fridge computer board
cheers

Check the back bottom freezer wall to see if there is frost on it. If so you have a defrost problem. If the coil dosent defrost it becomes an ice ball and no air can flow. Could be a defrost timer which switches the refrig into the defrost cycle. There is also a heater and thermostat in the system. Shut it off overnight with the doors open to defrost it and get it temporarily running . If it is not frosted up make sure your coil underneath is clean and your cooling motor is running in the back, bottom.

sounds like the defrost clock may be going bad and or a door switch. Look for a hole that has whatr looks like a big screw that you can turn.
SOURCE: fridge & freezer are cooling on bottom but not
when you open the freezer door do you hear the fan blowing?sounds like the air isn't moving, there's also a damper on the fridge side, the door opens to let the cold air in and then closes, make sure the door is opening, you can take the cover off and put an ice cube on the twirled up metal part to close it and put your hand on it to open it to see if it's working

i need the complete model number to narrow it down they still make the frs20zrg to this day the last two numbers like frs20zrgwo or frs20zrgw9 is what will tell me what kind of defrost system it has the serial plate is in the fridge side up by the light bulb or on the left hand side or right hand side of the fridge compartment up near the top sorry to be a bother but its necessary
SOURCE: freezer is freezing but fridge is not cold as it was
Sounds like defrost timer is not putting the refrigerator in defrost every 8 hours. You freezer should be below -5 degrees. Also the condenser beneath the refrigerator possibly needs cleaning. First slowly turn the defrost timer clockwise until freezer goes in defrost. You should hear the sound of crackling noise in freezer after about one minute into defrost. If timer does not come out of defrost or does not turn itself then replace it. Let me know what you find, Thanks Sea Breeze
