burning smells in driers can be sometimes from a blocked lint filter. The dried lint has been known to ignite when it gets hot. If you haven't cleaned the lint filter then do so and if the smell continues get it serviced.
tumble driers and combination washer driers have a 10 minute safety margin, where the heat fior drying is dispersed, to avoid people grabbing very hot clothing.. especially if it is not quite dry as this would make them, hotter to the touch.
Tumble driers usually continue to tumble, but blow cool air through the clothes to get rid of the heat, before stopping.
The drier works fine and heats during the cycle and then when the cycle is over the heat quits but the drier keeps running? Does it shut off when you open the door?
Two things can cause this one is the vent hose and or the vent going out side. If it (the hose or the vent) is stopped up this will happen. Also The Drier has a protection switch mounted in the burner area. This switch is going bad. It is there to shut down the drier in case of a problem it is kicking in/out too soon most likely it is going bad. When it shuts off, open the door let things cool off for a minute see if it will restart.
I had the same problem, they wear out in the rear bearing slot and drag on the front slides, So I bought Sears heavy duty model and it was was running better than ever until my wife took it away when she left me. Hope this helps
The identification label from a Frigidaire Gallery Commercial Heavy Duty Moisture Sensor drier has come off. I need to download operating/user manual. How can I get the serial no. or model no. The drier is 4 years old.
call svc tech under warrenty, also sensor rellies on clothes touching two shiny strips to sense the dryness of the clothes ussaly in front or rear of drier drum or rather back or front wall inside wet clothes short the bars and stalls timer when they are dry does not short bars so sensor knows dryness by resistance of short tilt drier front or back where ever bars are to make shure clothes main tain contact lots of time this cures the promblem
you got a vent restriction look behind your drier with a flash light and see if vents too long or mashed go outside when drying clothes see how much air flows comming out best way to do vent is 4in pvc drain pipe from hood out side to floor then 90dgree elbow up through floor short peice of pipe then foil drier vent from back to pipe with clamps your air flows blocked backing heat up in drier
