Thanks do you think i should try inks first because its cheaper to buy a printer these dayhs than to repair it.

I had a similar problem.  Are you sure that the head in back in contact with the paper.  There is a small blue slider button on the head.  It should be pushed to the right for printing and to the left in order to free any paper that gets stuck.  With ours it looks like someone freed some paper then never put the slide back so that the head and paper were in contact.
Once that was done we had a major cleaning task to do because the printer hadn't actually printed for a while but that is another story.

Also just wanted to add, ink cartridge nozzles dry out and clog even if the cartridge is full of ink. This happens especially if you don't print often or haven't replaced the cartridge in a long time or if the "new" cartridge sat on some shelf for a long time. You can try a wet paper towel on the bottom of the cartridge where the ink comes out. Hold it there for at least a minute, then put the cartridge back in the printer and try to print. Have some hand cleaner ready-your fingers will get a little ink on them. Even if it only partially prints, then you know the problem is that the cartridge nozzles are clogged. Good luck..

Looks like you are either using non genuine inks or have worn out the print head. Just replace the print head and use genuine ink, your print head will last longer and your colors truer. Non genuine ink is cheaper but the profit on it is huge, thats why lots of people sell it. Remember you get what you pay for.
