Static All of a sudden my phone has a lot of static, the person on the other end can hear me but I can not hear them because of the static. I receive my service from the cable company along with my internet and tv service. My internet and cable tv are fine. Do you know what could have caused this?

The cordless phones have a button to change the channels that are within the radio freq. range. I would change the channels until you get a clear/static free call.

Do you have other phones on the same line?
Are they clear or do they have the static. If it is a telephone company old copper line and it happens on all phones it maybe a Telco problem.
Maybe you can try purchasing a filter. It's a small device that any electrical shop should know. Ask them for a phone filter, it is hooked on the end of the phone line before it is plugged into the wall outlet or the phone handset.
Or you'll need a replacement, but I'm sure the first option would eliminate the static once the phone is working.
Your phone must be away from other appliances (i.e. microwaves, radios) and computer equipment (i.e. wireless routers, monitors). The phone runs on 2.4GHz which often conflicts with them.
