RCA F27668 clicks but wont turn on

This is an analog tuner tv,there are no OTA analog tv transmissions you need a digital converter box btween your antenna & tv

You need to degauss the TV,

This can be accomplished 2 easy ways i knwo of.

1.> If you have or know someone who has an old style soldering gun, the kind that has a pull lever and looks like a gun and buzzes when pushed, this will act like a degauss wand, simply plug it in pull the trigger and wave an inch or so around the affected areas untill the problem goes away.

2.> call a tv repair shop and ask them how much to "degauss" your tv.

first check a switch contacts, that switch has two make contacts in side it. if the switch is okay, then check a power supply dry joints on it.
or a dry joint on the line out put transistor, or a line transformer legs.

it probably blew the power transformer

I'm afraid this failure is not just a fuse failure in your TV since you still can hear the relay clicking. This fix might not be a DIY.

for shure your fly back transformer is bad is a commom problem in this chassis

1) Reset will not help

2) Older RCA projection tv's usually produce a good pix,
so you could fix it....

3) light box chassis pulls out to go to shop for repair...

4) For more info = provide service # and chassis # off back..

I've had this TV for just over a year. Went to turn it on one day and it would not power up. I here a relay clicking. i suspect the horziontal drive transistor. Does any one have a service manual or know where I can gat one? first check power supply output if it ok than forget relay if not check power supply by dis connnecting horl. output. if it is ok check h/driver collector voltage if it is less than supply voltage than h/osc & driver ckt.is ok check h/output & its print for loose. regards thanks
